Events & Fundraisers

The PTO is committed to supporting all students, teachers, and staff at Easterly Parkway through yearly initiatives including school supplies, classroom requests, field trips, visiting authors, teacher and staff appreciation, and enrichment activities like our International Fund Night (and more!). These efforts are not possible without support from our wonderful EP families! Complete our Volunteer Form and view committee openings.

Throughout the school year we raise funds through restaurant nights, Scholastic book fairs, Box Tops collections, and our yearly Fun Run. Every dollar raised stays in the school and is used to directly support our students, staff, and teachers all year long.

Please see below for an overview of our yearly events and visit our calendar to view upcoming event dates.

5th grade party

Any 5th grade parent/guardian is welcome to help plan the end-of-year 5th grade celebration! Recent trips have included Delgrosso's, Get Air, and Tussey Mountain.  Committee chairs work with 5th grade teachers to determine location, funding needs, transportation, etc.

Art & Literature Fair

All students are invited to submit their original works of art, poetry, writing and more! During this fun evening event, students can view fair submissions and engage in volunteer-run art stations. Held in April.

Boxtops

No more clipping BoxTops! Download the BoxTops for Education app on your smartphone and designate 'Easterly Parkway Elementary' as your school to support. Scan your paper or digital receipt every time you shop--Rewards are automatically calculated! Check out the app for Bonus Offers and plan your shopping accordingly!

Community Cares Fair

During the school day, students will work with their class to work on a specific project for a community organization. During our evening fair (February), all students and families will have a chance to craft cards, bracelets, pet toys, etc. that will be donated to various community organizations!

Family Reading Night

Held 2-3 times throughout the school year. Families sign up to participate in a read aloud and art activity in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Fun Run

Our biggest fundraiser of the year!  The three main goals of the Fun Run are to encourage fitness, build school community, and raise funds for the PTO. On the day of the run, students will walk/run as many laps around the playground track as they can in 10 minutes.  Parents/guardians are invited to attend and cheer on your child's class! Held in early Fall.

International Night

Celebrate the many cultures and diverse backgrounds of our Easterly Parkway community! Students are invited to share food, attire, dance, and traditions of their family's culture, and display souvenirs and posters from their family's travels. Held in March for 2024-25 school year.

Playground Bash

Celebrate the end of the school year with a party on the playground! All EP students and their families are invited to attend. The PTO provides pizza, and families sign up to bring a side to share. This is an evening event held in late May.

Read-A-Thon

Celebrate the joy of reading all week long and earn points to help your classroom earn fun prizes like extra recess and an ice cream party! All participants earn a $5 gift card to spend at the next Scholastic book fair. Held in January.

Reading is Sweet

All students get to choose a FREE book and treat, courtesy of the PTO! Held in March.

Restaurant Nights

Enjoy a meal out while supporting the PTO! We hold various restaurant nights throughout the school year. Flyers are sent home with your child and info is shared in weekly PTO newsletters.

Scholastic Book Fair

Shop for books for your student while supporting the PTO! Portions of all sales return to the PTO as Scholastic Credit or cash rewards. We hold 2-3 fairs throughout the school year (Fall, Winter, Spring), including a BOGO (Buy One, Get One) fair.

School Supplies

With your support throughout the school year, our fundraisers enable us to provide school supplies to all students and classrooms! Teachers sometimes request additional classroom items such as Kleenex or snacks, but students are NOT responsible for providing their own pencils, crayons, notepads, etc.

Science Fair

Students can create and enter science experiments, models, inventions, scientific collections, or science art. Demonstrations from Penn State and State High clubs as well as parents make for a fun and interactive evening out! Held in October.

Spiritwear

Order forms are typically sent home in early November with orders delivered around Thanksgiving.

Talent Show

Help us welcome back the talent show after a Covid-era hiatus! We are looking for a chair for this committee to help re-launch this event and get students excited to share their talents with their school community!

Teacher Appreciation Week

We support EP teachers and staff throughout the school year through monthly Morale Tables (themed snacks) and also during Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, held the first full week of May. Look out for ways to donate food and funds throughout the school year to support our AMAZING EP teachers and Staff!

Visiting Author

The PTO helps support our wonderful librarian, Mrs. Alterio, with funding for this Visiting Author day! All SCASD elementary schools work together to coordinate this event and split funding needs. Held in spring.

Weis4school

Support the school every time you shop at Weis! Visit the Weis4School site, enter your information and Weis card #, and search 'Easterly Parkway' for the school name (school ID: 87037) . The PTO will automatically earn cash rewards every time you swipe your card!

Yearbook

All students will have a chance to order a yearbook for end-of-year delivery. During the year, share your photos of your students and of EP events with us at so we can incorporate them into the yearbook!
