Welcome! We are so glad that you are a part of our Easterly Parkway community and we look forward to connecting with you at PTO events throughout the school year! Our diverse and vibrant neighborhood school is a special place and we strive to create a PTO that is inclusive for all families. Throughout the school year, please email us. We are happy to answer your questions, share information, and help connect you to school and district resources.

PTO NOTICE:

The following Board and Committee positions have vacancies that need to be filled for next school year (board positions will begin this summer). Please note that committee positions can be shared with multiple people. We rely on parent/guardian volunteers to fill these positions, or certain events cannot run! Please consider ways that you are able to share your time with the PTO, for the benefit of your student and the school:

  • Vice President (2-year term)
  • Treasurer (2-year term)
  • Restaurant Nights (Organize throughout the school year; contact restaurants and prepare flyers/advertising)
  • Teacher Appreciation Week (Held during the first full week of May; Planning begins in early April)
  • Staff Welcome Back Breakfast (Held in August prior to the first day of school; Gather food donations from families and run day-of breakfast)
  • Playground Bash (Held in May; Planning begins in early Spring)
  • Ice Cream Social (Back to School event held prior to the first day of school; purchase popsicles, organize 5th grade helpers)
  • Additional Shadowing Positions for 2026-27, to run independently in 2027-28:
    • Co-President (Attend meetings and learn the ropes from elected Board Co-Presidents, elected to position in May 2027 for 2-year term)
    • Art and Literature Fair (Held in April; gather community volunteers, prepare flyers, collect student submissions, run day-of event)
    • Science and Technology Fair (Held in Fall; gather community volunteers, prepare flyers, collect student submissions, run day-of event)

PTO meetings are held monthly on the 2nd Thursday, from 6-7:30pm.  Check the weekly newsletter for Zoom link, or attend in the EP Library! Some months are held only virtually.

The Easterly Parkway Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization organized for the purpose of supporting the Easterly Parkway Elementary School and enriching the school experience of every student. Through various fundraising efforts throughout the school year, we are able to support students and staff at Easterly Parkway with funding for school supplies, field trips, classroom requests, teacher & staff appreciation, and other enrichment activities including our Community & Heritage Night, Science Fair, Art & Literature Fair...and MORE! Every dollar we earn STAYS with the school and directly supports all students and staff.
